Open Export after the people, reporting lines, theme, and layout are ready. Guests must sign in before the Export dialog opens. Signing in does not buy a pass; format eligibility is decided separately. Export settings change the file you generate, not the saved chart.
Choose the format
- PNG image produces a ZIP of image pages. An eligible free PNG includes a watermark; an active pass produces clean output.
- PowerPoint deck produces editable PowerPoint shapes and requires an active pass.
- PDF uses vector text and shapes and requires an active pass.
- CSV spreadsheet exports rows of people data for re-import and is always free. It does not include the visual theme.
For a Google presentation, use PNG for one fixed image or open the editable PowerPoint export in Google Slides.
Choose a file for PowerPoint, Word, Keynote, or Google Slides

PNG keeps the rendered chart together, so names and connectors cannot be selected separately in the destination. PDF keeps vector text and shapes for viewing and print, but it is not an editable presentation deck. PowerPoint contains editable shapes, native text, and separate connector lines. It is not SmartArt, and a card may be a group of several objects.
Opening a PowerPoint export in Keynote or Google Slides adds a format-conversion step. Fonts, line wrapping, connector paths, grouping, spacing, and drawing effects can change. Review the converted slides before presenting. None of these files stays synchronized with the saved Studio chart; update the chart in Studio and export again when the organization changes.

Choose who to include
For PNG, PowerPoint, or PDF, choose Entire organization or Manager. Manager scope makes the selected person the top of the export. Use Starting manager to choose them, then Layers to include to limit how far down the branch goes. The preview and people count show the selected scope before export. That selected count, not the total elsewhere in the chart, is used for export eligibility.
If you need to buy a pass, the minimum offered size can still be higher. Studio sizes a new purchase to cover both this export and the largest saved chart on the account. The watermark and export-pass guide explains that purchase step.
Both images use the same 26-person fictional roster, theme, and Stacked arrangement. The first is the whole organization; the second starts at Jordan Patel and includes that Programs branch. Choose a branch when the reader needs one team. Choose the entire organization when relationships between teams matter.
Make the pages readable
Choose the page size and orientation that fit the destination. Pagination can keep the chart at 1:1 scale across several pages or fit content at a reduced percentage. Treat labels such as medium, small, very small, or tiny as a prompt to inspect names and titles in the preview.
Canvas zoom and Fit only change the working view. Export scale, page size, and pagination control the file.
For the same 26-person example, Per team with Letter portrait produced a 7-page PNG ZIP at 1:1 scale: 1 index followed by 6 manager pages. Inspect the downloaded page at its intended print or slide size.
Generate and download
Choose Export. While Studio builds the file, the status is Preparing or Rendering. When it reaches Ready, choose Download. A completed request is not proof that the browser saved the file, so check the browser's download location and open the result.
Longer-running exports also appear under Downloads with their format, status, and remaining availability. A PNG download is a ZIP; extract it to reach the page images.
If a job shows Failed, use Try again. If it shows Expired, generate a new export. Keep the chart open until the request is safely recorded. Do not rebuild the people data because a delivery job failed.
If the file differs from the preview, record the format, scope, page settings, and affected text, then report the bug. For free versus clean output, use watermark and export-pass help.
If the exported appearance looks different
Compare the downloaded file with the Export preview, not the zoom level on the working canvas. Check the selected format, Entire organization or Manager scope, starting manager, layers, page size, orientation, and pagination. Those choices can change how much content fits on each page without changing the saved chart.
If an older design appears, return to Themes, apply the intended theme with Apply to chart, then generate a new export. A theme still open as a preview has not changed the chart.
PNG and PDF are rendered files. If their cards, colors, connectors, or text differ from the Export preview, try the export once more. If the difference remains, report the format, chart size, scope, page settings, affected page, and what changed.
PowerPoint uses editable shapes and native text. Its font face and line wrapping can differ from the web preview, especially after the deck is opened or edited in another presentation app. Card shadows are not included in the editable shapes. Check long names, line breaks, and page titles in the downloaded deck before sharing it.
Share a file when a live link is not available
Studio does not currently create a public live-chart link or embed code. Its saved-chart URL is part of the signed-in workspace, and the Studio page cannot be placed in an iframe as a public embed.
Use PNG image for a fixed image in a page or message, PDF for viewing and print, or PowerPoint deck when the recipient needs editable shapes. Export a new file after the chart changes; an exported file does not update itself from the saved chart.
